Enter the good folks at YourLi.st who offer their free e-mail reminder service. I have no affiliation with these folks, but I do like their service. Most importantly, they don't make you register and their privacy policy is great: "We will never sell, rent, advertise or give away your email address. In fact as soon as your reminder has passed we will even delete your email permanently from our systems."
Click here to set up one or more reminders. Just fill out the form on the left side like this:
- Your E-mail: enter your email address
- Event Title: optionally add the person's name
- Calendar: set the occasion's date!
- Remind Me: select how many weeks ahead of the occasion do you want the e-mail?
- You a Person?: prove you're not a robot by solving the simple puzzle shown
- Press the "create reminder" button and you're done
